The north has him again and now, winter can come. Rasmus, who was born in Kiel, found his way to us in Hamburg after his apprenticeship in a 5-star hotel in the Portuguese Algarve. Since 2015, he has been helping to turn the HERITAGE into what it is today in terms of taste. Fresh and modern. Innovative, yet modest. As the Executive Chef, Rasmus leads 30 loyal employees – with the next generation of chefs, he focuses on passion and creativity. Attention to detail, boundless skill, perfect service – and his name (the German word for “heart”) says it all. Axel’s heart beats for the HERITAGE and here he’s been having everything under control since 2003 – whether it’s the filleting knife, the carving machete, or the wine decanter. He knows how to handle everything elegantly and smoothly. Watching him is a feast for your eyes and having him as a host is the greatest gift. Since 2023, he also welcomes guests as the Bar Chef at the HERITAGE Rooftop Bar. You can rely on his service. Axel and his team know how to welcome visitors: namely with style, foresight, and ease. Where food becomes a poem, and unheard stories are told, that’s exactly where we want to work with you. Our chef says you only eat well with your heart, and our guests agree. Our steaks are the best in town. We get them from our magical 1400° Fahrenheit Southbend charbroiler and we promise that our chefs put all their skills, lots of love and an eye for detail into all of our dishes. Food so good, it will make many well up – with tears of joy, of course. But who will bring all of this to the guest in such a flowery way? You!

Where do the best conversations emerge, and the most interesting characters appear? That’s right, in the kitchen. At least, if you’re celebrating at home. For us, this happens at the bar. High above the Alster River, anything can happen. Here, party-loving guests and colleagues meet on the unique rooftop terrace and let the good mood, the best drinks and beats tease out the daily grind. Who will take care of that? You!
